Attention, Please!

07 December 2017

Below please find an excerpt from an email that EC has received from a candidate:

"I have just been notified of the attached document that is being circulated in the masjid and at other locations as well.

Please see my email (below) that I have sent to the Shura.

I am very concerned that this will damage my candidacy and will further create confusion and distrust especially since I do not support these candidates."

Apparently, her name has been used without her permission and/or prior knowledge. EC requests all members to stay away from activities that while may be legal yet do strain our moral and ethical fiber. The referred to pamphlet/handout does not indicate who is the sponsor or publisher. Such anonymous handouts are troublesome. There is no legal restriction on supporting or promoting candidates participating in ISGH Elections. Thus there is no need to to promote a candidate or a group of candidates anonymously. I hope that we all continue to learn and better ourselves and participate in these and future elections with high spirits but never forgetting the highest standards of ethics and morality that our belief system demands of us.
